a warm welcome to Pension Kugele, here in Spesshardt,
a small village and suburb of the city of Calw, idyllically situated in a small valley on the high plain between the rivers Enz and Nagold, surrounded by large fir tree forests and flowering meadows.

Throughout the romantic surroundings, easy-to-walk and almost plain trails invite you for hikes or long walks at any season to nearby destinations, such as "Zavelstein Castle" or the "Roetelbachtal". Benches along sun-flooded forest edges offer a welcome opportunity to rest body and soul and enjoy the beauty of nature.

It's not the 24-hours entertainment and thrills program we're offering you here, but a place for peace, quiet and relaxation.

And if you do feel like a little more action occasionally, there's a large meadow for playing football or badminton just by the house. There's a ping pong table and also bicycles can be rented.

Pension Kugele is situated well away from the main roads, right at the forest's edge.
Comfortable and newly furnished rooms, with shower/WC, a balcony and satellite-TV, as well as a lounge and common rooms are awaiting you.

With a playground right next to our house we're also equipped for our small guests.

Follow Autobahn 8 (A 8) till exit Pforzheim, then follow B 463 to Calw.
or Follow Autobahn 81 (A 81) till exit Sindelfingen, then follow B 464 and B 295 to Calw..

 

	Romantic Rötelbach valley

Interesting sights and a multitude of ways to spend a perfect holiday.

Very near the house you'll find large meadows for playing and/or taking a relaxing sun bath.
Among the many attractive destinations for excursions, "Zavelstein Castle" has to be mentioned. We especially recommend a visit there in spring, when countless crocus flowers in the surrounding meadows are in full bloom.

Another famous place to visit is the historical city of Calw, birthplace and hometown of world-famous writer and novelist Hermann-Hesse. Discover the historic market square in in the old town center, or make an excursion to the ancient monastery of Calw-Hirsau.

Only 5 km away you'll find the famous Thermal Spa of Bad Teinach-Zavelstein. There's also a bus connection to Calw Hirsau and Bad Liebenzell, another spa resort with its well-known www.palais-thermal.de

By the way, we're offering guided Nordic Walking tours. Equipment can be borrowed from us.

For those who love a good meal we're doing our much-famed barbecue evenings frequently throughout summer. Or how about a short hiking trail with a testing of local spirits afterwards in a nearby distillery? Just ask us about your special requests and arrangements.

FInding a holiday resort where children are welcome is not always an easy task. However, children are most welcome at Pension Kugele!

Having three children ourselves, we're familiy people and Pension Kugele is a very family-friendly holiday location.
